Good but not as good as the first book in the series. It ends rather abruptly (no spoilers from me) and, while it is able to stand on its own, it just leaves you hanging...wanting to read the rest of the story. In all fairness, this was book 2 in what was intended to be a 3 book series. For some reason, book 3 is not being written (I think the publisher cancelled the series) and I'm the least bit disappointed in that. Book 1 was a great read, Book 2 was quite good and I most certainly would have ordered Book 3.Product details

Wasn't what I expected. Language and sex throughout
An excellent idea of travel at that time.
Needs a follow on book
Good read and I am ready for the next one so far Mr Sherman has done a great job, I believe he best writer in this genre.
Good Read
This story was as good, to me, as the first. They were both sad, as many of these are.
Morgan and his father made their way to St Louise to find their old friend and head for the mountains.
Jory Sherman writes in a very visual way, so you can really imagine as you read. His knowledge of a trappers life and the way it was in the early 1800`s gives a clear window to that way of life. I found it adventures and entertaining. I read the first book Medicine Horn and just had to find out what was going to happen and were it would end.
